Purpose: Perform day-to-day financial tasks.

The Accountant is responsible for :

  • Executing of accounting in accordance with the Belgian accounting legislation (BEGAAP).
  • Preparation of payments.


  • Daily bookkeeping according to legal requirements, based on approved invoices, bank statements and payroll statements.
  • Managing current accounts with the various financial institutions.
  • Recording of all financial movements, income and expenses.
  • Daily monitoring of the cash situation, incoming and outgoing financial movements.
  • Creating cash planning and compare with reality.
  • Planning and preparing payments to the suppliers.
  • Providing statutory disclosures to external organizations.
  • Managing investments.
  • Updating the depreciation tables and the fixed assets register.
  • Managing insurance policies.
  • Managing and following up commercial finances.
  • Managing monthly commissions.
  • Performing analytical accounting.
  • Following up the bank guarantees.
  • Reporting directly to the CFO.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor/Master in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent through experience);
  • Thorough understanding of the structure of balance sheet and content of income statement;
  • Mastery of special payment methods: bank guarantees at home and abroad, document credit, bills of exchange and others;
  • Knowledge of banking modules and of financial part of ERP package;
  • Updating knowledge of all accounting related changes;
  • Fluent communicator and stress resistant;
  • Accurate and organized;
  • Knowledge of Windows, MS Office and ERP systems (Navision is a plus);
  • Fluent in Dutch/French and English.
